is a leading Australian, privately owned, Contract Research Organisation (CRO) based in Sydney. We specialise in providing clinical research services to a range of clients across the pharmaceutical, medical device and biotechnology markets in Australia and New Zealand.
We are looking for Contracts Manager to join our growing team based in our Sydney office. Initially the successful candidate will join us on a 3 days per week basis but as the business grows, we envisage the role transitioning to full time over the coming 12 to 18 months. This role may appeal to a Senior CRA or Project Manager who is looking for new opportunities, less travel, or to develop their career in a new direction. While preferred, direct experience in a contracting role is not necessary as training will be provided.
Reporting to the Director, Corporate Development, you will be responsible for:
Preparing contractual documents, including Master Service Agreements and Work Orders;
Provide direction and assistance to the Operations team to ensure appropriate procedures have been followed with regard to contracts, internal documentation and approval requirements;
Develop and execute strategies that minimise potential losses and maximise project performance;
Develop standards for contracts, including presentation of budget, payment terms, general language and other provisions;
Responsible for proactively organising and preparing regular Change in Scope meetings, and actioning items from these meetings;
Attend bid defence meetings in support of new business as required;
Attend client meetings and participate on client calls as needed;
Track opportunities and contracts in customer relationship management tools and provide regular reports on the status of all contract negotiations;
Act as centre point for contractual and change order communication
To be successful in the role, we’re looking for candidates with:
Experience working in an industry oriented clinical research role such as pharmaceutical company or CRO. CRO experience is preferred. A Senior CRA or Clinical Project Manager who is interested in transitioning to a corporate role would encouraged to apply
Strong customer service, interpersonal, communication, problem solving and negotiating skills
Demonstrated excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex information to a diverse audience
Ability to set clear objectives and prioritise tasks
Ability to work irregular hours as needed to meet client’s deadlines
